I Got a Text About a Doctor Message But Don't See It
Why This Happens
You may receive a text message or email notification saying your doctor has sent you a message, but when you log into the portal, nothing new appears. This is a known issue and there are a few reasons it can happen:
- Caching — your browser is showing an old version of the page
- Timing delay — the notification was sent slightly before the message was fully posted
- Browser compatibility — some browsers don't load portal content correctly
How to Fix It
Step 1: Hard refresh the page
- On desktop: press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac)
- On mobile: pull down to refresh, or close and reopen your browser
Step 2: Clear your browser cache
- This is the most common fix. Old cached data prevents new messages from displaying.
- In Chrome: Settings → Privacy → Clear Browsing Data → Cached Images and Files
Step 3: Try a different browser
- If you're using Safari, try Chrome (or vice versa)
- Avoid in-app browsers — open the portal link directly in Chrome or Safari
Step 4: Try a different device
- If mobile isn't working, try a desktop computer
Step 5: Log out and log back in
- Sometimes a fresh login session loads the latest data
