I Was Denied Medical Clearance — What Now?
Why Was I Denied?
Your prescribing provider reviews your medical intake form, health history, and any uploaded documents (labs, photos, ID) to determine if GLP-1 medication is safe and appropriate for you.
Common reasons for denial include:
- Medical contraindications — certain health conditions or medications that make GLP-1s unsafe for you
- Incomplete intake form — missing information the provider needs to make a decision
- BMI below threshold — GLP-1 medications are typically prescribed for patients with a BMI of 27 or higher
- Insufficient documentation — labs or photos were unclear or missing
What Happens Next
If your provider cannot approve your prescription:
- You will receive a notification in your Member Portal and/or via email explaining the reason
- Your order will be cancelled
- A full refund will be initiated automatically
Refund Timeline
- Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days
- The refund goes back to the original payment method
- Your bank may take an additional 2–5 business days to show the credit
Can I Reapply?
In some cases, yes. If the denial was due to:
- Incomplete information — you may be able to provide the missing documentation and have your case re-reviewed. Email support@coreagerx.com to ask.
- Medical reasons — we recommend speaking with your primary care physician about whether GLP-1 medication is right for you. If your health situation changes, you are welcome to place a new order in the future.
Questions?
If you have questions about your denial or need help with your refund, email support@coreagerx.com with your order number.
