Is My Medication Safe If It Wasn't Cold on Arrival?

Follow the Instructions From Your Dispensing Pharmacy

Follow the storage instructions and printed use-by or beyond-use dates on the label and in the package from the pharmacy that dispensed your medication.

Use the instructions supplied with your current medication. Storage requirements and labeled dates can differ between treatments and pharmacies. Keep the package instructions with your medication so you can refer to them.

If Your Medication Arrives Warm

Check the package instructions and contact your doctor or dispensing pharmacy about the condition of your shipment before using medication you are unsure about.

For injectable GLP-1 medication that arrives warm or with insufficient refrigeration, the FDA recommends not using it because its quality may be affected. Log in to your Member Portal and ask your doctor, or contact the dispensing pharmacy for guidance about your shipment.

Unopened Vials, Shelf Life, and Beyond-Use Dates

Check the printed expiration or beyond-use date (BUD) and any instructions about use after the first opening or puncture. Do not assume that an unopened vial can be used beyond its printed date.

If a date is unclear, has passed, or may fall before you finish your supply, ask your doctor or dispensing pharmacy what to do before using the medication. Ask them to clarify any instructions that appear to conflict. The help center cannot determine a different storage period or extend a printed date for your vial.

Ask Your Doctor Through the Member Portal

Log in to your Member Portal and message your doctor about medical questions, including whether medication affected by heat or storage conditions can be used.

Have the pharmacy name, medication name, label, printed date, and package instructions available. For a delivery concern, describe when the package arrived and what condition it was in.

Message Support for General Information

You can email support@coreagerx.com for general information, order help, or help locating the instructions supplied by your pharmacy.

Support staff are not medical professionals. We can provide general information, but we cannot give personalized medical advice or determine whether your medication is safe to use. Please ask your doctor or dispensing pharmacy for that guidance.
