Is My Medication Safe If It Wasn't Cold on Arrival?
Short Answer: Usually Yes
Compounded Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are stable at room temperature for a limited period. If your package arrived warm or at room temperature, the medication is most likely still safe to use.
Temperature Guidelines
During shipping: Your medication is shipped with insulated packaging and cold packs designed to keep it cool during transit. Even if the cold pack has melted by the time it arrives, the insulation slows temperature changes and keeps the medication within a safe range.
Room temperature stability: Compounded GLP-1 medications are generally stable at controlled room temperature (up to 77°F / 25°C) for up to 28 days in an unopened vial. Brief exposure to higher temperatures during shipping does not typically affect potency.
After receiving: Once you receive your medication, store it in the refrigerator (36°F–46°F / 2°C–8°C). This is the best way to maintain potency for the full life of the vial.
When to Be Concerned
Contact support@coreagerx.com if:
- The medication feels hot to the touch (not just warm)
- The package was left in direct sunlight or extreme heat (above 100°F) for an extended period
- The liquid appears cloudy, discolored, or has particles floating in it
- The vial was frozen at any point — freezing can damage the medication
How to Store Your Medication
- Refrigerate after receiving — do not freeze
- Keep vials in the original packaging to protect from light
- If traveling, use an insulated bag with a cold pack
- Once opened, a vial is good for 28 days when refrigerated
